The 2nd Annual CE Franklin 3-on-3 Hockey Challenge was held on September 10, 2011 at the Don Hartman North East Sportsplex.

The day was filled with fun for the whole family and featured a 3-on-3 hockey tournament, NHL alumni and a KidZone. NHL alumni who attend this year's event included: Mark Astley; Rene Corbet; Dwayne Haye, Craig Levie, Jeff Shantz; Morris Lukowich; Dennis Polonich; Rob Tudor; Warren Skorodenski; Gord Sherven; Anthony Stiles and Ken Houston. Celebrity Chair Craig Conroy was on hand all day to greet the players, sign autographs and play in a few of the hockey games throughout the day.

 2010 Olympic Gold medalist Christine Nesbitt was also on hand to sign autographs and greet the players and fans.

The final game featured 2010 champions Fusion Valve and ATB Financial. It was an intense final game, with Fusion Valve taking home the trophy for the second year in the row.

Proceeds raised from the event go to the Calgary Health Trust in support of Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs) at Foothills Medical Centre, Rockyview General Hospital and Peter Lougheed Centre.
