COME and join us for a fun-filled evening of socializing, eats, live band, dancing, and a silent auction.
Grief is a journey common to all mankind. Loss can happen in a moment and yet the affects last a lifetime. Grief Support Groups offer community, hope, and healing... an integral lifeline during the most difficult crossroads of life.
Alberta Health Services provides individual, publicly funded counselling sessions for those who have suffered the death of a loved one. In addition, clients are invited to participate in Grief Group sessions, a 6 week program with other participants who have experienced the same type of loss (parent, sibling, spouse, child). Groups employ a lead facilitator (Social Worker) and two volunteers (past participants in the program), who have the same shared experience of loss. This invaluable 6 week group program offered in the Bob Glasgow Grief Centre is NOT publicly funded, and relies solely on fundraising and donations from individuals and corporations. Without philanthropic funding, group invitation and participation is stalled.
The proceeds from this fantastic and fun-filled evening will directly support Grief Support Groups (a 6 week program), which are funded through solely private donations.
To donate silent auction items, contact either Mike Behrman or Darrel Millman.
